CHANGES TO SPECIFICATIONS FOR BUFFALO CDF 4REPAIR
SOLCITATION NO. W912P4-10-R-0005
1. Section 31 32 23.00 02, paragraph 3.5.2.1 - Delete sentence:
“All grout mixes shall have a minimum 28-day compressive strength of 3000 psi.”
Replace with:
“All grout mixes shall have a minimum 28-day compressive strength of 2000 psi.”
2. Section 31 32 23.00 02, paragraph 3.8 –
Insert the following information after the first sentence:
“It is anticipated that weld lengths can be achieved by welding on both sides of the interlock. However, the contractor is not expected to move the large armor stone to complete the welds (the contractor is expected to move the small chinking stone). Subject to the approval of the Contracting Officer, welds can be discontinued where the armor stone prevents access. Full payment will be made in instances where welds are started but discontinued due to armor stone obstructions and the contractor has made a good faith effort to complete the work as determined by the Contracting Officer’s Representative. The locations of all interlocks without the fully specified weld lengths shall be documented.”
