Orchard Training Area Boise, Idaho
Project No. PN 160093
Solicitation No. W912J7-11-B-0002
ZGA Project No. 0801.05
NOTICE OF CHANGES:
This Addendum No. Four is hereby made a part of the project requirements and contract documents for the referenced project. Be sure to acknowledge this addendum in your Bid/Proposal Form.
It is the obligation of the General Contractors receiving sub-bids to notify their subcontractors and suppliers of items relating to their bid prior to the bid opening.
GENERAL
1. Bid Date Extension The bid date has been extended to 2 August 2011 at 2:00 PM/MDT. The bid opening will occur at the time and date indicated at 3489 West Harvard Street, Building 564, Main Conference Room, Gowen Field, Boise Air Terminal – Boise, Idaho. All interested offerors and their major subcontractors are encouraged to attend the bid opening.
Bidders are cautioned that they will be required to sign-in and obtain a visitor’s pass to enter the facility and should allow time to accomplish this. See instructions in Solicitation W91217-11-B-0002 for obtaining access to the base in the Site Visitation instructions. Follow the same instructions for obtaining entry to carry bid. Late receipt of bids due to entry delays may not be deemed excusable and the Contracting Officer may declare the bid “late” in accordance with FAR 14.304.
2. Attic Area Sprinklers The attic areas are not intended for storage and are therefore not required to be fire sprinkled per NFPA.
3. Hydrant Flow Data:
A model was not created for the hydrant flow at ORTC. The pump and reservoir system is sized to deliver a minimum of 1,500 GPM for 2 hours. This water flow is consistent with the International Fire Code (IFC) requirements. The buildings at the ORTC will be designed with fire sprinklers and have an emergency back-up power supply for providing fire flows. The requirement for redundant fire flow capacity has been waived (per Idaho National Guard Construction Facility Management Office Memorandum for Record dated 06 May 2009).
4. Pump Building The pumps in the Pump Building are considered booster pumps, not fire pumps. As such the building will not need to be fire sprinkled under NFPA 20.
5. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has no jurisdiction over this project.
