FP Station Battery Replacement Bidder Inquiries

1. Q: What is the distance from loading dock to battery room/s?

A: The distance from the Power Plant 1 (PP1) north personnel entrance to the battery room is approximately sixty-four (64) feet. A file titled “Battery Room Access.pdf” has been provided to offer additional information.

2. Q: Is battery room on the same floor as loading dock?

A: PP1: A file titled “Battery Room Access.pdf” has been provided to offer additional information. Amendment to follow.

PP2: No, the Battery Room is located one floor elevation below the Erection Bay and

Transformer Service Bay. Access will be through the Freight Elevator or floor hatches. A file titled “Battery Room Access.pdf” has been provided to offer additional information.

3. Q: What is the weight capacity of the elevator within the Powerhouse?

A: The weight capacity of the Power Plant Elevators is as follows:

- PP1 freight elevator: 12,000 lbs

- PP1 passenger elevator: 1800 lbs

- PP2 freight elevator: 3000 lbs

4. Q: Please provide PID electrical one lines for the plant 1 and plant 2 125V DC system and 480V related to the chargers.

A: The attached drawings MFP-OPN83E1601, MFP-OPN83E1602 and MFP-OPN83E1650 contain the PID electrical one lines for PP1 and PP2.

5. Q: Does any special Indian taxes or fees apply?

A: FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES

It is the Contractor's responsibility to investigate applicable federal, state, and local taxes as well as any specific exemptions that may exist. This includes any applicable Value-Added Taxes (VAT), sales, use, and excise taxes. See General Conditions (Contract Clause) 52.229-3 FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL TAXES.

6. Q: Can Capacity Testing of existing cell in Powerhouse #2 (CLIN 0003) be conducted before or at a separate time ahead of the Install and Replacement of the two cells in Powerhouse #1 (CLIN 0001 and 0002) upon award and Notice to Proceed? Or is capacity testing scope required to be done in conjunction with install replacement?

A: The PP2 station service battery capacity test can be completed at the contractors convenience (before, after or similar time as PP1 work).

7. Q: For 9170+ unit, the battery pack part number is ASY-0529, one pair per slot. The requirement doesn’t specify how many battery slots are currently being used and Eaton can’t confirm based on the pictures provided. Is there any way you can check and let us know? So that we can share the same information to Eaton guys.

8. Q: What are the door dimensions to the Battery Charging Room in PP1?

A: The door to the battery charging room in PP1 measures 30” in width. The existing battery chargers measure 25” in width.
