Building Number: DLASJ Tracy, Building T-100, Cafeteria, Specific Locations Date of Evaluation: 10 May 2012 Subject: Suspect Asbestos Containing Material (SACM) and Suspect Lead Based Paint Laboratory Analytical Results

Background On 10 May 2012, bulk samples were collected of suspect asbestos containing materials (SACM) and suspect lead-based paint from the DLASJ Tracy, Building T-100, Cafeteria (specific areas), as part of the preparation for a proposed renovation project. Robert Miller, a Division of Occupational Safety and Health Certified Asbestos Consultant for the State of California, CAC # 95-1821, collected the bulk samples. The bulk samples were submitted to Micro Analytical Laboratories, Inc., Emeryville, California for analysis. The AHERA-recommended analytical procedure polarized light microscopy (EPA Method/600/R-93/116) was used for the laboratory analysis of the bulk samples.

Selected bulk samples were analyzed for lead by Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry in accordance with EPA/846, Method 7420.

BUILDING T-100, DRY GOODS STORAGE ROOMS (2) (north-west corner of cafeteria kitchen)

Bulk Sample: 0510-100-01: Brown covebase adhesive and white associated paint on walls located on the two dry good storage rooms. There was no asbestos detected in the bulk sample.

Bulk Sample: 0510-100-02: White with brown streaks, 12-inch by 12-inch vinyl floor tiles and black associated adhesive. The vinyl floor tiles contain 3% Chrysotile Asbestos. The associated black adhesive contains 10% Chrysotile asbestos. There was a total of 320 square feet of the ACM inside the two dry good storage rooms.

Bulk Samples 0510-100-03 and 0510-100-04: Drywall System consisting of gypsum drywall, taping compound and applied skim coat material. The taping compound contained 2% chrysotile asbestos, and the skim coat material contained 2% chrysotile asbestos. The drywall system included the walls and ceilings inside the two dry good storage rooms. There was approximately 1,250 feet of the ACM. The white l2cocpc9 Text Box
