Tan 686A, #33446, 3.35 VOC VOHAP and Silica Free Zenthane

Per MIL-DTL-53039E, Type IX

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Zenthane is the trade name for Hentzen’s Single Component

Moisture Curing Polyurethanes. These coatings are designed to be used as supplied without any further reduction or modification. However, they can be field-adjusted with additives or with solvents (regulations permitting) to accommodate specific application conditions. This product needs to be used over a suitable primer such as MIL-P-53022B

HANDLING & STORAGE

The containers should be stored away from direct sunlight and heat. Freezing is not harmful if reheated gently to room temperature prior to use. Zenthane is reactive with water and should be protected from atmospheric moisture during storage and use.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

It is important to thoroughly homogenize each container by agitation. Paint shakers are preferred to paddle or mechanical mixers to exclude premature or accidental exposure to atmospheric water. No thinning is necessary for most spraying applications.

Normal Drying Schedule: This product is formulated for

"general purpose" use. (If faster or slower drying times are desired to suit specific end-use conditions, additives are available to customize the coating according to needs.)

When used as supplied, the following drying/curing rates can be expected:

Air Dry @ 77F & 50% Relative Humidity:

Dry to Touch: 1 – 2 hours

Dry to Handle: 4 – 6 hours

Full Cure: 7 days

Force Dry @ 180F @ 25% Relative Humidity:

Dry to Touch: 30 minutes

Dry to Handle: 45 – 90 minutes

Full Cure: 24 hours

PRECAUTIONS & SAFETY

Read all container labels and Material Safety Data sheets:

Keep away from sparks and flames.

Keep away from atmospheric moisture.

Do not spray without adequate ventilation

CLEAN-UP

Promptly clean equipment and flush with 00053SST Solvent or equivalent. When exposed to atmospheric moisture, Zenthane will skin, gel, and eventually become insoluble in all paint thinners.
