C.7.2.3.3 Cleaning and Maintenance. The EWPS shall provide access for corrosion-related cleaning and maintenance. Access is defined as a position and orientation, which provides the space to reach, and perform cleaning and maintenance that does not require removal of equipment or machinery or require personnel to assume an unsafe position or posture. If voids or cavities, which are not accessible for cleaning and maintenance are required due to other design considerations, special attention to corrosion resistance in these areas is required.
C.7.2.3.4 Dissimilar Metals. The EWPS shall be designed to avoid the potential for galvanic corrosion. When possible, dissimilar metals
(including fasteners, hardware or other items) shall be electrically insulated from one another to minimize or prevent galvanic corrosion. MIL-STD-889 may be used as a guide to determine compatibility of dissimilar materials.
