CYQL152003 Repair BE Admin Vendor Questions
SOLICITATION W50S6Y-24-B-0003 Repair BE Admin
Addendum 03 Q&A
Date 2/6/24
1. Is a Florida Construction license required for the work performed to repair BE Admin B4210- 4211?
Yes
2. May you please provide the model number for the water heaters? Specs do not appear to list any brands.
As products cannot be identified to a sole source therefore, we did not specify make or model for the water heaters on the plans/specs. However, the Bradford White “CEA” model was used as basis of design. Other electric storage water heaters that are equal in performance/features may be provided.
3. What kind of water, sewer, air pipes are required? Can we use Sch 40 and PVC piping?
See specification 22 00 00 section 3.10 TABLES for appropriate piping materials. Table 1 indicates drainage, waste, vent, etc. materials and Table 2 indicates pressure piping materials.
4. Please clarify if all toilet and sink fixtures will use automatic flush valves as stated in Volume 2 Specifications, page 20, Section 22, 2.4.1 “Flushing and faucet systems shall consist of solenoid-activated valves with light beam sensors. Flush valve for water closet shall include an override pushbutton. Flushing devices shall be provided as described in paragraph FIXTURES
AND FIXTURE TRIMMINGS.”
Confirmed, provide automatic flush valves as indicated in specifications. Also see plumbing fixture schedule notes 4 and 5 on sheet P-601 which indicate use of automatic flush valves.
5. If we send our proposal via FEDEX, are we to have it delivered to the following address: 202d Red Horse Squadron, Bldg. 4210, 5269 SR 16W, Starke, FL 32091. If this is not correct, please provide a delivery address, person of contact and phone number.
Ensure the delivery is PRIOR to the date and time set forth in the Solicitation:
202D RED HORSE Squadron
BLDG 4200
5629 FL-16W
Starke, FL 3091
6. We have to add breakers and do modifications to the existing MDP. What brand is the existing MDP? If pictures can be provided it would be appreciated.
Square D, QED. See attached photos.
Added 2/7/24
7. There are no Specifications for the Windows on Plan Sheet A-600. Can you please provide?
Windows are aluminum framed storefronts. Refer to specification 08 41 13 and 08 80 00.
8. Is the Exterior CMU shown on Plan Sheet A-201 and A-202 to be painted?
Yes, building exterior is to be painted. Refer to material schedule on A-700.
9. Is the Modified Bitumen Roofing System called for in Bid Item 1001 the same as the PVC Roofing System Call for on Plan Sheet A-104 A&B?
A/E is unable to verify Bid item 1001 contents, however we believe this to be true based on sheets A-104 A&B and spec 07 54 19.
10. On sheet A-700 – in the Materials Schedule - there is no spec for the ceiling tile ACP-1. Is this tile used in all office spaces. Please direct how to price that finish material.
See Paragraph 2.2.1 in section 09 51 00.
11. PG. E-501 details 1 & 2 show switched and unswitched outlets with outlet load controller.
However, Pg. E-103 & 104 power plan shows standard receptacles and no controls. There is nothing to show what rooms will have switched and unswitched outlets and necessary low volt controls. This is a significant cost difference depending on which route we take. Please let us know how to proceed.
Provide automatic control for at least 50% of all receptacles in: private offices, break rooms, and classrooms. Receptacles specifically designated for equipment requiring continuous operation (ie breakroom kitchen countertop or fridge receptacles) are exempt from this requirement. All controlled receptacles shall be permanently marked to visually differentiate them from uncontrolled receptacles and are to be uniformly distributed throughout the space.
12. Will there be an additional site walk?
NO
13. The plumbing drawing sheet P-134 does not show roof drains or the associated piping. The new roof plan sheet A-104B & A-002 indicates a new roof membrane affecting 6 roof drains. Is it the intent to maintain the existing piping and roof drains in the same locations while providing a new roof membrane?
Yes, design intent is to utilize existing roof drains and piping.
14. The existing flat roof shown to be demolished is Modified Bitumen Roof, applied over light weight concrete, followed be insulation before the metal decking below. Does the roof need to be demolished, or can this be left in place? If roofing is to be demolished, can the lightweight concrete and insulation be left in place prior to the new Cold Formed Trusses above?
Insulation is to be removed as indicated in keyed note 4.020 on sheet AD102A.
15. In accordance with specification 09.29.00 Paragraph 3.4, please confirm that all new sheetrock shall be finished to a level 5. Typically a level 5 is not desired and is a costly add.
Level 5 is required in areas called out in Paragraph 3.4.1 of section 09 29 00.
