Questions and Answers W25G1V18R0019

Q1. What are the antenna reflector sizes of the STT units that will be used within the radome?

A1. for all STT-167, 185, 202, 208, and Phoenix, the reflector is 2.4 Meter disk

Q2. What are the frequency range (sub-bands) for these antennas?

A2. C-Band: RX: 3.40 - 4.20 GHz TX: 5.85 - 6.65 GHz X-Band: RX: 7.25 - 7.75 GHz TX: 7.90 - 8.40 GHz Ku-Band: RX: 10.95 - 12.75GHz TX: 13.75 - 14.50 GHz Ka-Band: RX: 20.2 - 21.2 GHz TX: 30.0 - 31.0 GHz

Q3. Do you have the electrical requirements for items 3.8.5 through 3.8.11, and 3.8.14 in the A07_Attachment_I_SOW? The SOW requests performance data on the radome, but does not supply any antenna parameters. I would like to understand the requirement thresholds for each characteristic (insertion loss, boresight error, beamwidth error, sidelobe, etc.).

A3. Noted. No additional information should be provided regarding this question. We are requesting the Offeror's radome performance data for comparison reasons.

Q4. The radome requirements clearly specify dielectrc radome and non-metallic components. Would a metal space frame radome be considered if it was shown to have better overall performance?

A4. Based on the unknowns associated with planned and future workload, the Metal Space Frame Type Radome will introduce high risk to asset performance. This is illustrated in the following: Antenna size(s) will vary with 2.4 m as typical diameter; Antenna placement within the RADOME will be at various locations; No fixed vertical offsets from floor level (such as with fixed pedestal mounted earth stations).
