The document outlines the contractor's obligations to comply with federal nondiscrimination regulations and acts administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration. The contractor must ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and related federal statutes that prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, and age. The contractor is required to incorporate these nondiscrimination provisions into all subcontracts and procurement agreements and must notify all potential subcontractors and suppliers of these obligations during solicitation.

Noncompliance with these provisions may result in contract sanctions including withholding of payments, cancellation, termination, or suspension of the contract in whole or in part. The contractor must include these provisions in every subcontract and procurement unless specifically exempted by applicable regulations and must cooperate with enforcement actions directed by RIDOT or the Federal Highway Administration to ensure adherence to federal nondiscrimination standards.
