Technical Exhibit IIII
Grease Traps/Interceptors.
Inspect, pump, clean and maintain grease traps/interceptors in buildings 5124 and 5230. Inspect all grease traps at least monthly.
Maintain Grease Traps.
Remove any grease that is floating on the liquid surface of grease traps monthly as a maintenance task and disposed of at the Sewage Lagoon or other approved location.
Pump & Clean.
Pump and clean all grease interceptors according to the following criteria (at least annually):
· When the floatable grease (FOG) layer exceeds six inches in depth as measured by a sludge core sampling device;
· When the settled solid layer exceeds eight inches in depth as measured by a sludge core sampling device;
· When the total volume of captured grease and solid material displaces more than twenty-five percent of the capacity of the interceptor as calculated using a sludge core sampling device; and When the interceptor is not retaining/capturing oils and greases.
Built-Up Solids.
Ensure built-up solids are scraped from walls, floors, baffles, and all pipe work interior of the interceptor when it is determined that a grease interceptor requires a complete pumping or cleaning.
Records.
Maintain records for each grease interceptor which include the date and time of each inspection, FOG depth, sludge depth, details of any repairs, dates cleaned, dates pumped, amount of liquids and solids removed on each occasion and the service order number for repairs made and any other records pertaining to the interceptor. Make records available for review upon request by the DPW.
Obtain Approval.
Obtain approval through the KO via the COR from DPW Environmental Division for any chemicals, enzymes, live bacteria or other grease cutters prior to use.
