About this file

This is a Product Data Sheet for Poly-Crete SL, a 100% solids, aromatic, cementitious urethane flooring system manufactured by Sherwin-Williams, prepared in connection with the City of West Sacramento's Fire Station 43 Apparatus Bay Resinous Flooring project. Poly-Crete SL is a self-leveling matte finish coating typically applied at 1/8 inch thickness and may be used as a moisture mitigating underlayment for resilient flooring products. The product is VOC compliant, ADA compliant, and meets USDA, FDA, and CFIA standards. The material demonstrates superior adhesion, can be applied to concrete as young as 7-14 days old, and withstands moisture levels up to 20 lbs./1,000 sq. ft./24 hours and up to 99% relative humidity. The product is available in pre-measured kits covering 40-55 square feet per kit, with a 12-month shelf life from the manufacturing date. The sealed bid for this project was due no later than Friday, October 9, 2026 at 2:00 pm.

Poly-Crete SL exhibits strong performance characteristics, including compressive strength of 9,000 psi, flexural strength of 5,076 psi, tensile strength of 2,175 psi, and a Shore D hardness of 75-80. The product must not be applied at temperatures below 60°F or above 85°F and cannot be applied to certain substrates including un-reinforced sand cement screeds, asphalt, bitumen, glazed tile, nonporous brick, magnesite, copper, metal, polyesters, or elastomeric membranes. Application requires surface preparation including profiling, cleaning, drying, and oil removal, with perimeter edges and doorways keyed. The floor must be primed with Poly-Crete TF before application of Poly-Crete SL, unless the product will be broadcasted. The product is available in seven colors: Blue, Charcoal, Chestnut, Concrete Gray, Dark Gray, Green, and Gray.
