About this file
This stocking details document outlines fish procurement requirements for multiple lakes across several Indiana counties. The project involves purchasing fish for stocking during fall 2024 (October through November), with all fish required to be a minimum of 6 inches in length. The purchase encompasses four separate lake locations: Lake Maxinkuckee in Marshall County requiring 18,540 fish, Wall Lake in LaGrange County requiring 1,410 fish, Pretty Lake in LaGrange County requiring 1,840 fish, and Crooked Lake in Steuben County requiring 8,280 fish, for a combined total of 30,070 fish across all locations.
The hauler selected for this contract must coordinate delivery logistics with the state biologist by providing advance notice several days prior to each stocking event. A state representative will meet the hauler at the boat ramp for inspection of the fish delivery to ensure quality and compliance with specifications before the fish are released into the designated lakes.
