C-130 PROPELLER SHOP SITE VISIT

Shuttle transportation will be provided from the Conference to the Prop Shop. The site visit/tour will include appropriate highlights of the maintenance line and the storage location to be provided as government furnished space under the WR-ALC & WW Hub & Blade contracts.

Due to the size of the storage space, the group will be divided to ensure all attendees have a sufficient tour/view of the space to be made available.

Attendees will be returned (via shuttle) to their vehicles at the Horizons Club upon completion of the tour, targeted for no later than 2:00 PM EST. Attendees shall depart the base at this time.

SPECIAL NOTES AND/OR PROHIBITIONS

Each company is restricted to no more than two (2) attendees.

Dress code for the conference and site visit is business casual. Attendees are advised to wear appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes to be safe and comfortable while walking through the Building 140 Propeller Shop. Moreover, ear and eye protection is required to walk through the shop. Attendees that have such protection are requested to bring their own due to the government’s constrained supplies (eye protection is most limited in supply).

As the site visit portion of the day involves walking through the Propeller Shop, attendees are requested to communicate any special needs or necessary at the time of conference registration to ensure proper accommodations are arranged.

mailto:Ingrid.Smith@dla.mil

No refreshments will be served. Only bottled water and a single cup of coffee are permitted at the Horizons Club. Lunch will not be provided. It is anticipated there will be a short period between the conclusion of the conference and shuttle arrival for attendees to obtain meals/snacks from their vehicles.

Any changes to the solicitation will be by formal amendment. If an amendment is issued, standard procedures relating to the acknowledgement and receipt of any such amendment shall apply.

In no event will failure to attend the Pre-Proposal Conference constitute grounds for a claim after award of the contract.

Cell phones are permitted; however, taking of photographs is prohibited.

If severe weather causes the base to close, the event will be postponed. Registered attendees will be notified as soon as practical regarding any necessary reschedule. Be advised to monitor local television/radio station/web links for weather reports.
