About this file
This is a specifications document for pipette calibration services for an unnamed state or local agency with laboratory locations across Indiana. The contract requires calibration, servicing, and repair of approximately 429 single-channel analytical pipettes and 18 multi-channel pipettes across four locations: Indianapolis (239 single-channel and 12 eight-channel pipettes), Evansville (60 single-channel and 2 eight-channel pipettes), Ft. Wayne (56 single-channel and 2 eight-channel pipettes), and Lowell (74 single-channel and 2 eight-channel pipettes). Two semi-annual calibration services are scheduled for September 2026 and March 2027, with all calibration work to be performed onsite at the respective laboratory locations.
The vendor must meet stringent accreditation and certification requirements to be eligible for this contract. The service provider must be ISO 17025:2005 accredited by an Accreditation Body with an ILAC MRA (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement) and must provide their accreditation certificate and scope of accreditation prior to service. Calibration certificates must include traceability to NIST standards, display the ISO 17025 accreditation symbol, contain "As-left" measurement data for each pipette, provide actual measurement uncertainty, and document a minimum of 2 volumes with 5 samples tested per pipette (10 measurements minimum per instrument).
