· If the 1st physical count does not match the SBSS accountable record, but the adjustment is less than the designated auto adjust level in value, the inventory is closed in SBSS.

· If the 1st physical count does not match the SBSS accountable record and the adjustment would be greater than the designated auto adjust level in value, SBSS generates a 2nd count requirement.

2. For Controlled Items:

· Repetitive losses when the dollar value of the adjustment equals or exceeds the projected costs of the investigation report.

· Discrepancies for any item worth more than $50,000.

· Research requested by the KO or designee.

E. The Contractor shall perform special inventories including, but not limited to, insufficient balances, warehouse refusals, and other requirements.

5.7.2AF Depot Maintenance Interservice Support Agreement (DMISA) Material

5.7.2.1AF Receiving DMISA Material

A. DMISA material may be identified by either Receipt documentation, PMR, or the receipt restriction screen.

1. If receipt documentation identifies DMISA material, documentation may include: the RIC of NRP, owner/purpose code 5, pseudo RIC 5NN, and/or project code 3BB. DMISA material documentation may also include the RIC of B14 or B16, owner/purpose code 1, and pseudo RIC 1AA.The Contractor shall process the receipt IAW Section C-5.2, Receiving. If the PRM and receipt documentation do not match, the Contractor shall initiate an SDR and induct the receipt in CC “K.” The Contractor shall complete Disposition Instructions once received IAW paragraph C-5.2.4.1, Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDR).

2. When the Contractor inducts a receipt and the receipt restriction screen states “HILL POSSIBLE DMISA ITEM ‘RIC’; FURTHER RESEARCH REQUIRED,” the Contractor shall conduct further research using the Air Force provided spreadsheet of NSNs. The Contractor shall receive DMISA receipts IAW DLAD 4151.16, Joint Depot Maintenance Program.

B. DMISA material is segregated for storage and shall not inter-mingle the same NSN material with different owner/IM RICs. The Contractor shall verify the lot number field to ensure it includes the correct RIC and the word DMISA.

5.7.3AF First Articles

5.7.3.1AF Receiving First Articles

A. A First Article is a preproduction model, initial production sample, test sample, first lot, pilot lot, or pilot models. First Articles arrive with a DD Form 250 that is stamped “First Article” and are addressed to the First Article Point of Contact (POC).

B. The Contractor shall transship First Articles IAW paragraph C-5.5.4 Transshipments.

C. Once the lab has completed testing, the material may be returned as a New Procurement and processed IAW paragraph C-5.2.4 Product Receipt Evaluation or as a transshipment request and processed IAW paragraph C-5.5.4, Transshipments.

5.7.4AF Product Quality Deficiency Report (PQDR) Material

B. The Contractor shall identify the receipt as a condition code “Q” and receipt through DSS assigning the appropriate type storage code for stow and recording control number in the DSS location lot number field as an interim solution until DSS is updated to allow a standalone field expressly for CC Q exhibits. The Contractor shall ensure that all other normal receipt documentation is processed in DSS to include the SF 364 with the PQDR Report Control Number and Discrepancy Report Unique Identifier (DRUI) number.

C. When PQDR documentation does not include the DRUI, the Contractor shall induct in CC “K” and initiate an SDR. Once the Disposition Instructions are received, the Contractor shall change the CC to “Q”.

D. The Contractor shall stow “Q” condition material in segregated locations by DRUI for classified or unclassified material.

5.7.5AF Traffic Management of PQDR Material

The Contractor shall manually generate MROs using the DSS On-Line MRO Processing Option (SMOK) screen IAW paragraph C-5.3.8.1, Processing Issue Release Orders, paragraph D. This manual process allows selection of the specified items. The Contractor shall complete a DD Form 1348-1A and complete the pick and issue process. PMI will create the issue document (DD Form 1348-1A) for SBSS exhibits and forward to the Contractor for exhibit shipment. The Contractor shall fax the DD Form 1348-1A to the specialized storage warehouse.

A. The Contractor shall provide unit assembly of kits at the direction of the KO or designee. These requests are provided on AFMC IMT 185 (see example in Technical Library). Data is retained in Project Consolidation and Packaging (PC&P) module of DSS. The material is normally issued from depot stock (DSS) from a customer generated MRO or a request for the Contractor to SMOK the material from DSS (See Section C-5.3.8.1, Processing Issue Release Orders). The Contractor shall use PC&P to receive, inventory, to include location accuracy, and consolidate material in a staging/assembly area until all kit assembly components are received. Once all components are issued from DSS and received in PC&P, the Contractor shall assemble, package, and pack to complete the kit assembly. The Contractor shall receive the completed kits in DSS IAW Section C-5.2, Receiving.

B. Refurbishments:

Kit assembly also includes the repair and refurbishment of kits that may include removing components no longer needed; replacing components with new, revised or different components or with an expired shelf-life or that were found non-conforming through a COSIS action.
