HMMS provides cradle-to-grave tracking, management, and reporting capabilities for use and disposal of HM and HW at military depot organizations throughout DoD. Additional information can be found at http://www.hmms.com. The system supports HM management centers concepts directed at regulating and minimizing the use of HM at DoD installations and support the following functions:
1. Dispensing HM according to units of use.
2. Providing a central issue point for Just-In-Time control and issue.
3. Providing online MSDS.
4. Controlling HM by authorized user, zone, and task.
5. Waste sampling to include requests for analysis.
