Fortalecimiento de la Salud Sexual y Reproductiva en Adolecentes (PASMO), Panamerican Social Marketing Organization, 2012‐2017
Improves health outcomes of adolescents (ages 10‐24) in vulnerable urban areas who are at risk of unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. Works in schools to prevent teen pregnancies.
Fortalecimiento de la Capacidad Local para Construir una Cultura de Paz (FORPAZ), Save the Children Honduras, 2013‐2017
Promotes school‐ and community‐based violence reduction by working with youth, schools, and parents to create a culture of peace and to establish community‐run youth centers as safe spaces for learning and recreation.
Comunidades con Riqueza, Educación y Oportunidades en Honduras (CREOH), Glasswing International, 2013‐2017
Transforms schools into multipurpose spaces and provides education, recreation, enrichment, and community service opportunities for youth, parents, teachers, and other community members in a safe and familiar context.

Supports efforts to reduce homicides and other violent crime by disrupting the systems, perceptions and behaviors that support violence. Promotes safer schools in target communities by building relationships between school, community, and government stakeholders and supporting violence reduction efforts inside and outside target schools.
Padres y docents Uniendo Esfuerzos por la Niñez a través de Espacios Sociales (PUENTES), ChildFund International, 2015‐2017
Promotes school‐based violence prevention by working with both parents and school personnel to identify and address problem behaviors and increase protective factors in youth.
FHIS community Infrastructure, 2016‐2020
Carries out infrastructure projects to: 1) increase access to primary and secondary education by rehabilitating existing schools, building new classrooms, and creating safer spaces; 2) improve access to comprehensive health services; and, 3) provide safe community spaces in high‐crime areas to build resilience and reduce violence and criminal activity among vulnerable populations.
Proponte Más, Creative Associates International, 2016‐2019
Identifies and appropriately engages higher‐risk youth, providing family counseling services for the individuals and their families, establishes a cadre of family counselors, strengthens alternative justice measures, and establishes a community‐based secondary prevention model.
Honduras Workforce Development, Banyan Global, 2016‐2020
The activity will increase employment and protective factors for at risk youth in targeted high crime municipalities. Strengthen comprehensive workforce readiness services for job linkage and self‐employment to benefit at risk youth who qualify for secondary and tertiary violence prevention services.
Justice, Human Rights and Security Strengthening Activity, DAI, 2016 ‐ 2021
This activity supports more effective and accountable justice, human rights, and security sector organizations to reduce violence;
decrease impunity; and implement a human rights based approach aimed at guaranteeing equal access to quality judicial outcomes.
Interventions will strengthen the rule of law and the institutions that compose the human rights protection system, and will address legal and security challenges faced by vulnerable groups and victims of human rights abuses. It includes a sizable investment for more effective community police to complement violence prevention investments at the community level.

This Activity seeks to support the USAID/Honduras mission in planning, designing, conducting, disseminating, and learning from rigorous monitoring and evaluation of USAID/Honduras development activities. MESCLA includes designing and implementing both quantitative and qualitative evaluations and assessments, as well as providing expert analysis to improve USAID/Honduras’ activities.
Reading Improvement for Development 2017‐2022
Reading Improvement for Development. The objective of the Reading Improvement for Development (RID) activity is to support the efforts of the Government of Honduras (GOH), in collaboration with other donors, civil society, and the private sector to improve Honduran students’ reading skills in grades 1 to 6 of basic education in DO1 and DO2 targeted areas.
Develop Quality Reading Materials 2017‐2021
Develop Quality Reading Materials (2017‐2019, TEC: $16 million).
The recipient of this award will be tasked with procurement and distribution of quality reading materials, designed and developed in the RID Activity to target schools located within the DO1 ZOI.
