About this file

This is a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification attachment for RFP 7254.1 issued by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) in Maryland for a Transportation Routing System. The attachment requires offerors to declare their minority business enterprise status by identifying whether their business is at least 50 percent owned by minority group members, or in the case of publicly owned businesses, at least 51 percent owned by minority group members. Offerors must check the appropriate box indicating their status, with options including African American, Asian American, Hispanic, Native American, Female, Disabled, or None.

The MBE certification serves as part of MCPS's supplier diversity and contracting compliance requirements for the transportation routing system procurement. This comprehensive routing solution will serve as the primary system of record for student transportation routing across the school district and will replace the existing routing platform currently used by the Division of Transportation Services. The certification requirement ensures that disadvantaged and minority-owned businesses have equal consideration and opportunity to participate in this solicitation.
