About this file
This is a Biographical Sketch Form template for the Empire State Development Division of Science, Technology & Innovation Centers for Advanced Technology (CAT) Program 2026 Request for Proposals (RFP 26-6181) in New York. The form is required for each research faculty member participating in CAT activities and must be included in Appendix 1 of the proposal submission. The form requests comprehensive information about applicants and consortium members, including their institutional affiliation, educational credentials from baccalaureate through post-doctorate level, employment history listed chronologically, and areas of technical specialization relevant to the CAT's designated technology focus.
The biographical sketch template also requires documentation of research funds acquired, including sources, amounts, and timeframes; a complete listing of patents received and applied for with patent numbers and dates; up to five of the most recent peer-reviewed publications with full citations and editorial board affiliations; and a chronological record of honors and awards. The CAT program is designed to stimulate technology-based applied research and economic growth in New York by fostering collaboration between research centers and industry, promoting workforce development, and leveraging state funds with federal, industry, foundation, and non-profit investments over a ten-year designation period. Applicants must establish an Industrial Advisory Board with representatives from companies within the proposed technology focus area. The procurement includes contracting goals of 6 percent for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses and 30 percent for Minority and Women Business Enterprises.
