About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for the Canaveral Port Authority's Cruise Terminal 5 Expansion project (RFP-25-1 / PN 25-011B), issued on November 8, 2024. The addendum is primarily focused on updating the insurance requirements for the Construction Manager and all subcontractors involved in the project. The document provides comprehensive details about the types and levels of insurance coverage required, including Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Automobile Liability, Commercial Umbrella/Excess Liability, Builder's Risk, Professional Liability, Watercraft/Marine Liability, Aircraft Liability, Pollution Liability, Cyber Liability, and other specialized insurance provisions.
The insurance requirements are extensive and specify detailed coverage limits, with some key insurance requirements including $10 million in Commercial General Liability coverage, $1 million in Automobile Liability, $10 million in Commercial Umbrella/Excess Liability, and specific provisions for professional liability, pollution liability, and cyber liability. The addendum mandates that all insurance policies must name the Canaveral Port Authority as an additional insured, provide primary coverage, include waiver of subrogation endorsements, and maintain specific financial ratings and compliance with Florida Insurance Code. The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring all subcontractors and suppliers maintain equivalent insurance coverage, and the Owner reserves the right to review and approve all insurance policies and certificates.
