About this file
This document is a Question and Answer record from a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference held on August 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM for a state and local contract award (GovTribe ID: edfabd7cea9a6d3aef6c19f6321c42d7) involving Elgin MHC. The document captures clarifications requested by potential bidders regarding project requirements and site conditions.
The project involves building remediation work, including minor demolition as needed, with utilities (water and electricity) available on site. Air clearance testing for mold or encapsulation is not required due to the building's unoccupied status. The project start date is contingent upon completion of roof repairs currently being coordinated. A fire exit map will be provided once mold testing results are received. The bid timeline has been extended to allow Elgin MHC to obtain and post mold testing results, which will be attached to the bid upon availability.
