About this file
This is a Pay Items pricing schedule for an On-Call Bridge Repairs contract administered by the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT). The document provides a comprehensive list of 52 pay items organized by service category, including mobilization services, traffic control, structural repairs, pile driving and drilled shaft work, deck and concrete repairs, steel installation and repair, timber pile repairs, and specialized services such as welding, underwater construction, and geotechnical borings. Each pay item is assigned a unit of measure (such as man-hours, days, linear feet, square feet, cubic yards, each, or lump sum) and a quantity, with most items assigned a quantity of one unless a minimum quantity has been specified. Bidders are instructed to enter their per-unit pricing for each pay item, with the total automatically calculated by multiplying the unit price by the quantity.
The contract pricing structure operates on a flat amount per contractor basis, with SCDOT using the submitted unit prices to prepare individual work orders as needed. Bidders must enter their calculated total from cell F57 of the pricing sheet as the contract value in both SCEIS and on the bidding schedule. All pay items currently display zero dollar amounts, indicating that this is a blank template awaiting contractor pricing submissions. The pricing schedule encompasses a broad range of bridge repair and maintenance services, from emergency mobilization adders to specialized structural repairs, allowing SCDOT flexibility in utilizing contractor resources across multiple project types and complexities under a single on-call contract vehicle.
