| QUESTION | GOVT RESPONSE |
| Can we get floorplans of Watkins 243 and Hermann 410? | Simple floorplan sketches are provided. Detailed architectural drawings are not available for these rooms. |
| For Watkins 243, does the existing screen get replaced? | Replacement of the screen is not required. |
| For Hermann 410, who is responsible for removing the existing Smart Board? Is patching/painting a requirement for any holes left post installation? | The Contractor shall remove the Smartboard and patch & paint the area of the wall behind the mounting. The SmartBoard and shall be surrendered to the Government's on-site representative. |
| For Hermann 410, is mounting the left speaker and left side of the screen to the wall, right side of screen & right speaker to the ceiling an acceptable solution? | Yes. |
| For Reed Hall, can we get a system diagram for control? | A control diagram has been added to the AV plans. |
| For Reed Hall, how do you anticipate taking control of the existing Crestron lighting system with the new Extron control system being installed? | The Government has spoken to Crestron and confirmed that Crestron does not offer an API for the lighting controllers and that direct control via third party controller (such as Extron) is not possible. Crestron recommends leaving the existing Pro2 controllers in place and using I/O or TCP/IP to trigger lighting commands from the Extron controller. That is acceptable to the Government. The Contractor shall develop and furnish an interfacing solution, including any Crestron programming as needed, that will enable lighting control via the new GUI and maintain lighting control from the existing wall switches. |
| For Reed Hall, can you please clarify the desired installation schedule? Will access to room 102 (equipment room in the back) be possible while working upstairs? | Installation of second floor classrooms to be completed during the fall academic quarter 09/24/18 - 12/14/18. |
Installation of first floor classrooms to be completed during the winter break 12/17/2018 - 01/02/2019.
Room 102A will remain accessible during installation of the second floor classrooms.
First floor classrooms must remain fully operational for any scheduled uses during the installation work on the second floor.
All six classrooms must be fully operational and ready for use by the Government on the first day of instruction 01-03-2019.
Room 102A will remain accessible while installation is in progress. Any work that will disrupt resources shared between the floors must be scheduled in advance to be performed when it will not disrupt scheduled classes. Such work includes but may not be limited to lighting control programming and testing.
| Is there a sample GUI available that can be used as an example during bid preparations? | Work on a sample GUI is in progress and will be provided. |
| Are trash and recyclables able to be discarded in NPS containers? | Yes. However, both are to be discarded in outside dumpsters. Waste containers in the buildings are not to be used for trash or debris resulting from the installation work. |
| Will NPS provide all GFE to the buildings or is it the responsibility of the contractor? | NPS will deliver all GFE to work sites in advance of scheduled start dates. |
| Can system as built files for all systems in Reed Hall be provided including running control system code? | NPS will provide the AV system As-Builts that were furnished by the original installing AV contractor. |
| Are architectural drawings of the three buildings available for review? | NPS will provide the architectural drawings provided to us by the construction contractor, however the Contractor is advised that the AV portion of those drawings contain only simplified single-line drawings. The AV As-Builts are provided as a separate PDF package. |
