MCIEAST Contracting Department Questions and Answers PART 2 M67001-14-T-0004

Question 37: In reference to the answer to Question 24:

“Question 24: Can the government provide the SCA Occupational Codes for the Airframe Mechanics, Flight Line Mechanics, Electrical/Avionics Mechanics (Aircraft Mech I or Aircraft Mech II's)

Answer: Airframe Mechanics: Aircraft Mech II

Flight Line Mechanics: Aircraft Mech I

Electrical/Avionics Mechanics: AircraftMech III”

It seems that the answer to the question and the enclosure conflict in that the answer to the question states that Airframe Mechanics are all Aircraft Mech IIs, Flightline Mechanics are all Aircraft Mech Is, and

Electrical/Avionics Mechanics are all Aircraft Mech IIIs. If we are interpreting the question correctly it does not matter for each category if they are a CDQAR, CDI or Mechanic they will all be the same SCA

WD category. In addition all Flightline Mechanics no matter if they are a CDQAR, CDI or Mechanic will be paid less than an Airframe Mechanic and Avionics Mechanic. We believe that the experience level of a CDQAR as compared to a CDI and Mechanic constitutes a more stringent recruitment requirement and would equate to a higher paid SCA WD category i.e. CDQAR = Aircraft Mech III, CDI = Aircraft Mech II, Mechanic = Aircraft Mech I. If you would be so kind as to clarify that we are correct in our thinking or if the answer to the question is a hard lined requirement?

ANSWER: The RFQ is reviewed. You are correct, please disregard the previous answer on question 24.
