3. Do you have the Steris drawings for the existing equipment?

SLX Lights

4. This is Stryker marketing literature verbiage. Can you please clarify how it was determined that this is the “best technology” and “superior light quality”? Was a trial conducted? Site visits, etc.?

Answer: 2 lights in each OR suite

Answer: 8.9 feet (107 inches).

OR Renovation

8. "OR Renovation" can mean many different things. Can you please provide a detailed SOW for OR Renovation?

Answer: OR renovation was the term used with replacement of current lights and monitors to include replacement of copper wiring with upgrade to fiberoptics.

9. Are you utilizing existing power?

Answer: Yes

10. Are you modifying mounts (moving, adding, or utilizing existing)?

Answer: Removing current mounts.

11. Are there infection control requirements to include?

Answer: Each room will be performed separately with containment and clean up prior to start/stop of project.

12. Do you require proposals to include the removal and disposal of existing surgical lights?

Answer: Quote includes removal of current equipment by Stryker company.

ISuite Installation

13. Again, this is Stryker marketing literature verbiage. Can you please provide a detailed description of what an "iSuite" is?

Answer: This is a marketing term meaning the "integrated surgical suite". This is a term Stryker uses to label an operating room where Stryker takes responsibility from the infrastructure to the tip of the scope through the video chain to the image on the monitor.

14. If the iSuite includes integration, there are many various levels of integration such as routing, capture/record, networking, etc. Can you please provide a detailed and itemized breakdown of the required functionality?

Answer: At Naval Hospital 29 Palms Stryker will not be providing any of our integration portfolio.

To route the images from the Stryker tower to the Stryker monitor we will be using a wireless sync transmitter.

15. There are potential RMF implications. Can you provide a SOW for "iSuite" that includes the functionality?

Answer: The sync transmitters use a proprietary RF communications system that uses the same radio frequency space as ‘WiFi’ networks. This is not dissimilar to a cordless phone or wireless headset. It uses AES 128 encryption. This is an OR infrastructure project that includes sync transmitters, not an integration project. The main SOW includes the equipment and necessary renovation work to remove end-of-life surgical lights and replace them with new surgical lights and monitors. To reduce cords hanging in the OR we have included the sync transmitters to route the image from the Stryker tower to the Stryker monitor. Only the video output with the transmitter will be able to route to the receiver on the monitors. This could be used on the Stryker tower, anesthesia machine, microscope, or any other video output.
