Page 3 on DINFOS_CeremonyLarge_Pitch_Classroom_AV_System_SOW.pdf indicates the A/V control system is to be Crestron and page 3 on HQ051666412-15SPD- 772_DINFOS_Classroom_AV_System_(Service_Description)v2.doc only states an A/V Control System.

b. What A/V Control System is currently used at DINFOS? (Crestron, AMX, Extron, etc.) If both, how many of each?
c. Does DINFOS currently have a room management system such as Crestron Fusion?
d. If not, does DINFOS plan to implement a room management system such as Crestron Fusion?
Answer: 1a. Government prefers Crestron.
1b. DINFOS currently has two Crestron Systems in two isolated rooms.
1c. DINFOS does not have a room management system we have room scheduling software.
1d. No we do not plan on implementing a room management system at this time.
Question: 2. “Two (2) UHF frequency agile wireless handheld & lavaliere microphone systems (inter-changeable), to be kept in the lectern.”
a. Is the requirement for one (1) wireless handheld & one (1) wireless lavaliere microphone transmitter and two receivers per room?
b. Or, two (2) wireless handheld and two (2) wireless lavaliere microphone transmitters that share two (2) receivers and only two (2) of the four (4) transmitter can be used at the same time?
Answer: 2a & b. Each of the four rooms (115A-D) needs to have 1 wireless Handheld mic and 1 wireless Lav transmitting on the same frequency to 1 receiver. We want two of this set up in each room.
Question: 3. Is CaC card support required at the lectern? Or, only at the GFE PC in the control room?
Answer: 3. Only at the GFE PC in the control room.
Question: 4. “One (1) Live production A/V switcher with audio mixing capability (all inclusive).”

b. If 4 switchers, should all eight cameras appear on all four switchers?
c. Does DINFOS have a specific model in mind?
d. When in combined mode, is it required that all cameras be available for use and switched on a single switcher?
e. Can the audio be handled separately from the switcher? (e.g. on the touch panel)
f. Is clean camera switching required? E.G. Not using the Crestron, AMX, or Extron switcher to switch between cameras as it will cause a jump when switching between sources as the cameras are not timed and the switcher is not a clean switcher.

Question: 7. “The system shall supply one (1) HD/SDI video output to feed the in-house cable head-end system.”
a. If there are four switchers, which one should feed the in-house cable system?
b. Or, do we need to provide a HD-SDI switch to control which one of the four switchers is routed to the cable head-end
Answer: 7. N/A since our requirement is for one switcher for all four rooms.
Question: 8. “A/V Control System must also be capable to feed audio and video signals from all rooms to a computer or manufacturer specific equipment for streaming purposes.”
a. What software will be used? DCS?
b. Is only the cameras switched video and audio mix to be send to this streaming device?
c. Is the streaming device contractor provided or government provided? If contractor provided, does the device have to work with DCS?
d. How many are required/provided?
Answer: 8a - d. Software is irrelevant. We require a single HD (combined audio and video) output to feed into a computer or manufacturers streaming hardware.
DCS will not be used, historically we've used LiveStream. Contractor is to provide one streaming hardware (computer or manufacturers streaming hardware).

a. Will it only be controlled at the lectern? Or, do you also need local control in the control room?
b. Can the government supplied PC be located at each operations desk? Or, must it go in the rack?
Answer: 13a & b. PC's need to be controlled at the lectern and in the control room. We would prefer PC's be located in the racks to minimize equipment at operations desk.
