Question & Answers # 2 27 February 2013
The following are questions asked by prospective offerors in response to solicitation HE1260-13-R- 0001.
Q1. For the 50 school classrooms and 25 restrooms; does this mean the estimated total of all rooms that need to be cleaned in the entire school system during the summer school session, or does this mean the total per each school that is to be utilized for summer school?
A1. As specified in Section B of the solicitation, 50 classrooms and 25 restrooms is the max quantity the Government anticipates for summer school sessions per performance period.
Q2. It is our understanding that “Per Square Meter Price” is per time. In other words, the price is one-time daily rate. Are we correct on this?
A2. It is not time or daily rate. The “Price Per Square Meter” is a price per square meter that the Government may use in lieu of negotiations in the event of partial reductions or additions to existing requirements.
For example, if a school room that is 17 sqm and cannot be accessed for 2 months due to repairs, then the Government may apply the price per square meter to reduce the monthly cost for that particular school while that square meter is not being serviced. 17 sqm x (price per square meter) = Total Amount to reduce the monthly unit price of that school. The same may be applied if there is a temporary room added. The Government only intends to use this in the event of minor reductions or additions.
