Questions & Answers – Amendment 0001 for Solicitation GS-04-P-17-EW-C-0017

Site Visit – Tuesday, June 20, 2017

Q1: Will GSA email or post the questions from today and tomorrow’s site visit?

A1: Both. I will send Amendment 0001 to everyone that attended today and tomorrow’s site visit, and I will post the Amendment 0001 packet to include the Q&As, the submittals from Phase I, and the sign in sheets to Fed Biz Opps.

Q2: Is the site available during normal work hours?

A2: See scope of work, item number two (2); Building location hours. The site is available during normal work hours with the advance permission of GSA. If your proposal has normal working hours priced, please send GSA a request to work this portion during normal business hours, and what will be entailed during daytime work. If GSA building management approves, then daytime work is approved unless the work becomes too noisy for daytime work and complaints are received. This facility is fully operational during normal business hours and there are agency employees working both on the floor, and above and below this site.

Q3: Will the site itself be occupied as in are they moving them out of occupied space?

A3: The space that will be renovated will not be occupied. Please note, however, that there will be agency employees working on the other side of the temporary wall during normal business hours listed in scope.

Q4: Is there a possibility the temporary wall will remain.

A4: It is not a possibility. The temporary wall is not GSA’s property.

Q5: Will the temporary wall need to be built the same?

A5. The temporary wall will be to ensure that the agency employees on the other side of the wall are not distracted by construction noise, or affected by any construction material in finished space.

GSA Statement in lieu of Q&A6: Special lights E102 - The drawing indicates that there are five rows of lights to be relocated. The five rows of lights will not be relocated but will be deep cleaned and the lamps will be upgraded from T5 to LED per the SOW. The SOW is correct, the Drawing is not. The drawing will not be updated by Amendment0001.

Q7: Breakroom cabinets. There are no dimensions for microwave openings and there is a request to trim the wall up to the ceiling. Please clarify.

A7: SOW Rev03 is asking about piece of wood to cover gap. The cabinets that will be installed will end about six (6) inches from ceiling. The customer would like a piece of trim from the cabinets to the ceiling. As for the microwave openings, the model number for the microwave is listed in SOW #19 will be built in per SOW #19. Drawing I103 detail C1 on microwave.

Q8: Will everyone receive the Sign in Sheet?
