1. 2. Static Device: A computing device, equipment storage system, or visual display device that remains in a permanent location and is not transported for normal business functions. (i.e.

workstations; monitors; blade systems; security card readers; servers; network racks)

2.1 Stand-alone Workstations

2.1.1 Advanced Technical Stand-alone Workstation

Intended to support knowledge-workers involved in sophisticated graphics, very large data-set analysis, systems development, or data manipulation.

A representative stand-alone workstation would be similar in specification to the following:

• Maximum overall case dimensions: 16.5"H x 7.5"W x 17"D

• Certified Energy Star rating

• At least 4GB (DDR3) SDRAM 1333MHz or faster o Supports at least two quad core (8 CPUs) processor o Processor running at 3.2 GHz or better / quad core o 1000 MHz or faster front side bus

• At least two (2) 300 GB disk drives with performance characteristics equal to or exceeding U320 15000 RPM drive technology

• Internal DVD+/-RW (8x or faster) o Capable of read/write for DVD

• 100/1000MB Network interface with Wake on LAN capability

• USB Optical Mouse with 2 buttons and a tracking/scrolling wheel

• USB 104 Keyboard

• Minimum 8 (max 10) USB 3.0 or better connections on the unit o At least 2 in front

• At least one additional PCI slot to add optional cards as needed

Response system from which they are removed

• Supports a RAID 0, 1, 10 configuration of the internal hard drives.

• At least two (2) external 5.25 inch drive bays

• At least two (2) 1394a (Firewire 800) ports - of which at least one must be on the front, and one on the back.

Options:

o Upgrade hard drive to 2x the proposed base system o Upgrade to 8GB RAM o Upgrade to 16GB RAM o Extended warranty

2.1.2 Super-User Stand-alone Workstation

Intended to support end users with advanced workstation needs that do not justify the need for a Technical Workstation. Uses include, but are not limited to: System Administration, PowerPoint Graphics development, Desktop Publishing (advanced document development and integration), and the normal use of data analytics software.

A representative stand-alone workstation would be similar in configuration to the

• Maximum overall case dimensions: 16.5"H x 7.5"W x 17"D

• Certified Energy Star rating

• At least 4GB (DDR3) SDRAM 1333MHz or faster o Supports at least two dual core or one quad core (4 CPUs) processor(s) o Processor(s) running at 3.0 GHz or better / dual core or quad core o 1000 MHz or faster front side bus

• At least two (2) 300 GB disk drives with performance characteristics equal to or exceeding U320 15000 RPM drive technology

• Internal DVD+/-RW (8x or faster) o Capable of read/write for DVD

• 100/1000MB Network interface with Wake on LAN capability

• USB Optical Mouse with 2 buttons and a tracking/scrolling wheel

• USB 104 Keyboard

• Minimum 8 (max 10) USB 3.0 or better connections on the unit o At least 2 in front

• At least two (2) external 5.25 inch drive bays

• At least two (2) 1394a (Firewire 800) ports - of which at least one must be on the front, and one on the back.

Options:

o Upgrade hard drive to 2x the proposed base system o Upgrade to 8GB RAM o Upgrade to 12GB RAM o Extended warranty

2.1.3 Mission Stand-alone Workstation

Intended to support end users with the need for primary mission applications. Capabilities include supporting multiple monitors and the resolution of graphic images designed into the workstation. It is optimized to provide a faster, more economical and functional computing environment for the end-user using various Enterprise applications. It will also be capable of viewing PDF artifacts. (Can be specifically tailored to support adjudicator end users or their equivalent)

• Maximum overall case dimensions: 16"H x 5"W x 14"D

• Certified Energy Star rating

• At least 4GB (DDR3) SDRAM 1333MHz or faster o Supports at least one dual core (2 CPUs) processor o Processor running at 2.66 GHz or better / dual core o 1000 MHz or faster front side bus

• At least 250GB SATA 3.0Gb/s and 8MB Data Burst Cache or SSD If Available

• Internal DVD+/-RW (8x or faster) o Capable of read/write for DVD(Note: Write capability may be blocked by software configuration unless approved for the specific user)

• 100/1000MB Network interface with Wake on LAN capability

• USB Optical Mouse with 2 buttons and a tracking/scrolling wheel

• USB 104 Keyboard

• Minimum 8 (max 10) USB 3.0 or better connections on the unit o At least 2 in front

• At least one additional PCI slot to add optional cards as needed

• High definition audio compliant

• BIOS flash upgrade capability o BIOS multi-level security settings, including Administrator password, System boot password, BIOS password o At least two (2) 9 pin serial ports, addressable at a BIOS/DOS level

• Supports both Windows 10(Government furnished) OS licenses (32/64 bit)

• External display support for HDMI or DVI

• Graphics capability that supports at least two (2) single link video connections with a 1940x1200 resolution or better

• Minimum 6 outlet surge suppressor with at least 1200 Joules capacity

• At least 3 Years Basic Support: Next Business Day Parts and Labor Onsite

Response o Hard drives replaced under warranty will not be returned to the vendor. The government will destroy or dispose of these based on the sensitivity level of the system from which they are removed

Options:

o Upgrade hard drive to 2x the proposed base system o Upgrade to 8GB RAM o 25 pin parallel interface addressable from DOS o PS/2 based keyboard interface addressable from DOS o PS/2 Keyboard o Extended warranty

2.1.4 Basic Stand-alone Workstation

Intended to support end users that do not access primary mission applications as a regular and constant part of their work. This workstation is intended to support the general, non-adjudicator or mission-critical end user.

• Maximum overall case dimensions: 16"H x 5"W x 14"D

• Certified Energy Star rating

Section 6 – VAR Services: Value-added Reseller (VAR) services consist of, but are not limited to, configuration consulting and design, systems integration, installation of computer equipment, customization of hardware or software, training, product technical support, hardware and software maintenance service and end user support. The Pricing Matrix for this IDIQ requires labor rates for both onsite (Contractor) and offsite (Government-based) efforts. Any VAR services under FirstSource III must be provided along with all applicable vendor and industry certifications relative to the specific commercial commodities procured under the vehicle.

6.1 Tier I/Level I Support

This is the initial support level responsible for basic customer issues or basic level technical support functions. A Tier I specialist shall be able to determine the customer’s issue by analyzing the symptoms and figuring out the underlying problem.

Support under Tier I may include, but is not limited to: basic troubleshooting issues such as resolving username and password problems, installing (uninstalling/reinstalling) of basic hardware and software applications, verifying proper hardware and software set up, understanding basic network configurations and user requirements, and end-user training.
