| _7_ PROVIDE A STATEMENT OF ACT_dWWFyKo3zgQ-e71MSrA2mA: The government intends to meet the directive in ICD 705 which requires the security system to have software compatibility with and must be fully integrated into the Honeywell Vindicator network that communicates with the Base Defense Operations Center. | |
| _5_ PROVIDE A STATEMENT OF ACT_xMsHeIbKfGYdZx*NQZBzkg: The contracting officer intends to utilize FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisitions in conjunction with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to procure the IDS products and installation. Based on the market analysis from the Sources Sought Notice, previous contracts, and Internet searches there are small businesses with expressed interest in the requirement. After review of the small business contractors’ capability statements, the contracting officer determined that the requirement will be set aside totally for small businesses that meet the requirements of the statement of work. | |
| _4_ UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS THA_fxPS18NzthbsRqqrY5h47Q: To ensure sufficient compatibility with the pre-existing Vindicator IDS, it is imperative that the quote consideration be limited to only Honeywell authorized vendors. Alternative access control and badging systems may only be considered if they satisfy the Honeywell Vindicator IDS compatibility requirement. | |
| _3_ BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SUPPL_UM33PhqLHArLIQSUjN*Zfw: The contractor will install the ACS readers and the Integrated IDS for the 113th Operations Support Squadron, Building 1217. All equipment shall be software compatible and functional with the existing Honeywell Vindicator infrastructure on the base. This compatibility will enable appropriate guard force response, continued monitoring, and administrative functions in accordance with “Technical Specifications for Construction and Management of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities” (ICD 705). The contractor shall perform the required engineering for the installation of both the IDS and ACS, so the systems perform together as required by ICD 705. The contractor shall also perform start up, testing, and training to indicate full operational compliance with this contract. This is a new contract requirement with relevant market research information conducted by other government agencies. Previous acquisitions require justification and approval for specific systems to communicate with existing security systems. To ensure sufficient compatibility with the pre-existing current base Vindicator IDS, it is imperative that the quote consideration be limited to only Honeywell authorized vendors. Alternative access control and badging systems may only be considered if they satisfy the Honeywell Vindicator IDS compatibility requirement. | |
