THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS #6 THROUGH #9 REFERENCED SECTION 01 00 00:
QUESTION #6: As it relates to the photographic documentation specification, will drone photography be required for the exterior documentation or can photographs from ground level be assumed?
VA ANSWER: Use of a drone is the contractor’s means and methods. Provide photographs as outlined in Specification Section 01 00 00, Part 1.30.
QUESTION #7: The requested photographic documentation software that interfaces with AUTOCAD drawings and provides an online multiple user interface with overlap capability is a limited software and is a very expensive monthly subscription. We are including this in the proposal but if this requirement were waived the cost could be significantly reduced. Please confirm that this software is required for this project.
VA ANSWER: AutoCAD interface is not required. However, photographs should be cross-referenced with architectural plans.
QUESTION #8: As it relates to the photographic documentation specification, we have VDC capability in house that meets the past performance requirements and qualifications. If the superintendent could provide the camera tripod setups for imaging by the technician remotely, we could eliminate the technician's monthly trips to the site which would result in a significant cost savings. Can the superintendent place the camera for imaging capture by the technician remotely?
