Q1. Can we have a list of the instrumentation in the facility?

A1. Would be provided in the BAA and also in the briefing slides from Industry Day which would be posted on SAM.GOV.

Q2. If someone from industry wants to use the facilities for a specific project/analysis how do they can do that?

A2. Our facilities are not pay per use format. The use ids for our users’ base. On specific instances CRADA's are used to collaborate with industry or academia.

Q3. When would the BAA would be posted on SAM.GOV?

A3. June - July 2022

Q4. What is the criteria for leveraging external facilities similar to OSU-CEMAS?

A4. It's an avenue for us to access to specialized niche capabilities not available to AFRL currently especially enabling us to leverage our limited funding.

Q5. During the tour the instrumentation was shown, but the specific projects or material systems were not discussed, can that information be provided?

A5. Discussing specific projects is beyond the scope of the Industry Day Tour, however, the briefing slides gives an overview of the different material systems we work in.

Q6. Would there be PWS (Performance Work Statement) with this BAA?

A6. No, there will be a SOO (Statement of Objectives) which would lead to A SOW (Statement of Work) by the bidders.

Q7. Would a FTE (Full Time Equivalent – person years) number be provided?

A7. No, that would be up to the bidders. We only specify the needs in the BAA.

Q8. What would be the selection criteria?

A8. The selection criteria would be specified in the BAA and would be strictly adhered to.
