This is an overview of the TSSC Site Visit on 27 February 2012 in St. Louis, MO.
(1) Conference Room
a. Quick brief and sign in
b. QUESTION: Is anything in the conference room was part of the TSSC or used in support of the
TDAS program.
ANSWER: Nothing in the conference room is part of the TSSC or used in support of the TDAS program.
(2) Room 1 - Development Area
a. Small room with a few computers and a PC cabinet.
b. QUESTION: Can the PC cabinet be opened to see what was inside?
ANSWER: Cabinet was not opened, but it was stated that the cabinet contained a standard Rack Mounted PC.
c. QUESTION: Is the Rack Mounted PC on the TSSC equipment list?
ANSWER: It is believed to be on the equipment list, but this will be verified.
(3) Room 2 - Development Area/IAT
a. The incumbent pointed out all of the development servers and noted they are GFE.
b. The IAT DSD was described and noted that it is almost identical to fielded versions of the IAT at
SJAFB with some small differences in switches, etc. The IAT DSD is also used for development, HSI, Contractor Testing, and Government Acceptance Testing.
c. The NCSD was also pointed out and it was noted that this device is used as a desktop version of the IAT so that when testing between two IATs is required they can accomplish the tests in-plant.
d. QUESTION: Are there any special connections required to allow the NCSD to connect to the IAT
DSD?
ANSWER: All connections are standard.
d. QUESTION: Are any spares kept in the IAT development area?
ANSWER: No.
(4) Room 3 - Development Area/MTD
a. QUESTION: Is there anything proprietary in MTD Development Area or is everything part of the
TSSC?
ANSWER: Nothing is proprietary – everything in room is part of the TSSC.
b. The incumbent noted that there are two production TFE-21's in the room and a TFE-24 test bench. The two TFE-21’s are not connected to each other.
c. QUESTION: Is all cabling in the room (including under floor) was part of the TSSC?
ANSWER: All cabling is part of the GFE package.
d. QUESTION: Are there packing crates for the GFE?
ANSWER: There are packing crates and they are listed on the TSSC equipment list.
e. QUESTION: Are there procedures to change the classification of a specific PC?
ANSWER: The incumbent responded that they believed there are procedures for that.
f. QUESTION: Is there anything in the room not on the TSSC equipment list?
ANSWER: There is not. An audit has recently been conducted to ensure accuracy of the list.
(5) RSP Spares Room
a. QUESTION: Is there test support equipment included in the GFE?
ANSWER: Yes there is. It is all included on the RSP list (Attachment 05 of RFP)
b. The incumbent noted that the storage shelves are Boeing property.
c. The incumbent noted that there are additional small spares storage locations at Sheppard AFB, SJAFB, and Lakenheath.
d. QUESTION: Is there equipment in the repair cycle that is not currently on the shelf?
ANSWER: Yes, there is equipment in the repair cycle and once it is repaired it is returned to the shelves.
(6) Docking Area
a. The incumbent pointed out their docking area and noted that it was on the ground floor street level.
(7) Production Overflow Area
a. The final stop on the way out was by a gated area known as an overflow area. The incumbent noted that this is where the GFE crates are stored and they pointed out the crates.
