MMHS Whiteman

FA8604-19-R-8117

Question Set 6 The current layout has the stairs at the end of the mezzanine with a walkway at the end of the mezzanine. However, the stair and landing area secure to the back of an upper cabinet. We have to have a unit on the end to make the mezzanine system you have designed work. Otherwise we would need to have a complete deck over style free standing mezzanine which would throw off the layout for everything. That would require multiple support columns throughout the system, etc.

To do the style mezzanine you have specified there would have to be cabinets on the end of the system as shown in the below model.

The updated drawing also shows a 60” wide cabinet beneath the stairway landing. That will not fit between the support posts. A 45” wide cabinet would be a tight fit.

Updated drawing GWH803-01 with change in mezzanine layout and location of staircases as well as quantity of each different type of cabinets. See section 3.1 SYSTEM DEFINITION for update. “102 modular cabinets, defined as a unitary set of drawers and the housing or cabinet used to support the drawers, and 59 overhead storage units. Of the 102 cabinets for the mezzanine system, 42 shall be type ‘A’, 50 shall be type ‘B’ and 10 shall be type ‘C’.”
