Holloman Question Set 5

Question 1: For the tire racks in Appendix J, is a row spacer required? The drawing doesn’t show one and the specs don’t mention one. Depending on the size of the tires being stored a space should be required for the overhang of the tires. Can you please clarify?

Answer: Row spacers are not required; however, a small gap will be left between back to back rows as shown with the tire rack to be removed picture in the Cover PD.

Question 2: Can you provide a drawing that locates the closest or most adequate electrical panel where the electrical needs for the modular building and MHS system can be tied in?

Answer: AF Drawings AHL706-04 and -05 have been updated to reflect electrical locations.

Question 3: The spec for “MC3” in Appendix D (Table 2) does not match the drawing and the spec’d drawers will not fit in the housing. Please advise whether there should be five (5) 3-7/8” and five (5) 5- 3/8” drawers or if it should match the drawing and other cabinets with 6 and 4 of the respective drawers.

Answer: Drawer configuration should match that of the other cabinets (6) 3—7/8” drawers and (4)5- 3/8” drawers. Appendix D has been updated to reflect this.

Question 4: 3.2.3.1 Drawing AHL706-05 does not show the source of power point even though the spec says it does. Can you please mark it on the drawing?

Answer: Previous questions have addressed this, drawings now show electric panels.

Question 5: Should the lower horizontal conveyor be an accumulating conveyor in the reverse direction?

Answer: Only the upper section shall be live roller accumulation conveyor as specified in App I.

Question 6: Is 3’5” between the edge of conveyor and the modular cabinets? The conveyor curve as drawn is not realistic and to make it that way requires the additional space moving it closer to the modular cabinets.

Answer: The drawing of the conveyor is conceptual in nature, exact curve dimensions may vary slightly to accommodate the turn. Walkway must be maintained on upper level of mezzanine so any shift must be done to the lower section.
