Question Set 1

Question 1: Drawing -04 and -05 both have Type "I" Widespan. -04 says the widespan is 36" deep, -05 says the widespan is 48" deep. Is the specific section of type "I" widespan on drawing -04 36" and the rest is all 48"?

Response: The Type "I" Wide-Span in Drawing -04 has been changed to Type "J" to match the lettering used in Drawing -05. No dimensions have been changed, just the terminology.

Question 2: Also, both drawings -04 and -05 state solid steel decking for the widespan but the spec 3.2.4 of Appendix B states wire mesh decking. Which is correct?

Response: Types "A" and "B" wide-span shall have the wire mesh decking already specified. Types "I" and "J" wide-span shown in drawings -02, -04, and -05 shall have solid decking; specification for this decking have been added to Appendix B.

Question 3: For the wire partition cages in App J is a ceiling required?

Response: Yes, a ceiling is required for the wire partitions cages specified in Appendix J.

Question 4: App G Modular Office, para 3.3.4 communication service, is the contractor running cable from the outlets to a tie in point outside the office or all the way to the communication room? If to the communication room, what is the approx. distance from the office?

Response: The contractor shall run cables from the office to the communications room which will not exceed 75 feet (not including risers).

Question 5: App A para 3.2.9 forklift guard posts states that the bollards are shown on drawing -01 and - 05, however the only drawing that shows bollards is drawing-04 (QTY 2). Please advise.

Response: Drawings -01 and -05 have been updated to include the referenced bollards. Drawing -01 has a total of 13, -04 has a total of 3, and -05 has a total of 5.

Question 6: There are no depth dimensions for Type "E" or Type "F" Pallet Rack on drawing AHL706-01.

Please advise.

Response: Type "E" and Type "F" pallet racks shall both be 48"D, Drawing -01 has been updated to clarify this dimension.

*Note this updated drawing shall encompass this update and the bollards question referenced earlier*

Question 7: Type "I" Wide Span shelving shows a depth of 4'-0" on AHL706-02 and 3'-0" on AHL706-05.

Will Type "I" have different depths in each building?

Response: The Type "I" Wide Span should be 36"D, Drawing -02 has been corrected to show this.
