Amendment 0001 Questions/Answers 19 July 2018

The purpose of this amendment is the following:

1. Provide responses to industry submitted questions; garding technical specifications

2. Extend the solicitation date by from 23 July 2018 to 30 July 2018

3. Incorporate revised Performance Work Statement (PWS), dated 18 July 2018

Q1: Who is responsible for the installation? The owner or the bidder?

A1: Please refer to the PWS, para 1.2 "The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, fluids, and other items required to install contractor supplied Aircraft Wheel Washer and Waste Water Processing System. The period of performance for this requirement shall be 30 calendar days after receipt of award".

Q2: Your specs call out for a Stingray washer specifically, are you open to other types of cleaning that are more efficient than spray cleaners for wheel washing applications?

A2: Refer to PWS, para 1.3 Q3: We need a detailed specification on the component (weight, size, fluid to clean, etc), in addition to the production rate of your project, floor space and company budget pricing?

A3: The government utilizes multiple wheels and the unit needs to be capable of handling the following wheels; MLG wheel weighs 110 pounds and is 36 x 11-18 inches. The NLG wheel weighs 22.5 pounds and is 9 inches in diameter by 7.75 inches width, plus having the capability of cleaning small parts. Production rate of current washer is two (2) wheels every two (2) hours and small parts (bearings, rings, nuts, bolts etc. must be hand washed in a separate parts washer using PD 680 which is highly hazardous, and as such we would like to eliminate.
