QUESTIONS AND ANSWER DOCUMENT

Requirement: RHS Vehicle Maintenance Pre-Engineered Building

9 July 2020

NOTE: In accordance with the Combined Synopsis-Solicitation FAR 52.121-1 Addenda – Please don’t forget to provide an itemized price breakout of your submission.

Q1: Can the delivery schedule be changed to 150 days after date of contract?

A1: PLEASE SEE AMENDMENT 1 FOR UPDATED DELIVERY SCHEDULE.

Q2: How much Collateral Load is needed for this project?

A2: The Collateral Loads will be a fire protection sprinkler system, HVAC ductwork for heating and ventilation, roll-up doors, and LED lighting.

Q3: Will there be any future requirement for an overhead crane?

A3: No there will not. See answer for question 2 on the Collateral Load for details.

Q4: Is it the contractor’s responsibility to unload the shipment, or the Government’s?

A4: It is the responsibility of the contractor to unload the shipment at a location determined by the Government.

Q5: Can the Buy American Requirements be clarified?

A5: Please comply with the Buy American Act as detailed in clauses:

DFARS 252.225-7001, Buy American and Balance of Payments Program (Dec 2017) DFARS 252.225-7012, Preference For Certain Domestic Commodities (Dec 2017)

Q6: Is the intent for foam core insulated panels to be for the walls and roof?

A6: Foam core insulated panels for the wall and roof is required.

Q7: Will a designed insulation panel system be acceptable?

A7: As long as color matches and the R-Value matches the required specifications.

Q8: Can I submit a quote if I am not registered under the applicable NAICS?

A8: No, you must be registered under the applicable NAICS.

Q9: Can the blast loads be defined?

A9: Ensure the blast loads conform with UFC 4-010-01 DoD Anti-terrorism Reference.
