1.1. This project will design and build the replacement of the underground electrical lateral circuit “F” medium voltage cables from the switchgear SF-010, SF-020, SF-030, SF-050 and SF- 060 through existing duct bank and sectionalizers to the building transformers. The existing switchgear and sectionalizers will remain. The existing cable removed by the contractor shall be disposed in a government provided recycle dumpster. The Government will recycle the cable and proceeds going to the Government.
1.2. Any scheduled base power outages will occur on weekends and will be fully coordinated with the Contracting Officer at least 30 days prior to intended outage. The contractor will be responsible for de-energizing and re-energizing the existing and new electrical infrastructure.
2. GENERAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
2.1. The Contractor shall supply all equipment, labor, and materials necessary for design and construction for replacing existing underground electrical lateral circuit “F” medium voltage cables from the switchgear SF-010, SF-020, SF-030, SF-050 and SF-060 through existing duct bank, sectionalizers and switches to the building transformers on McConnell AFB, Kansas per the design plans prepared by the Contractor’s A-E and approved by the Government.
