QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

Dorm Security Cameras

#RFQ FA4610-18-Q-0007

The following questions were received and answers are provided below. As a friendly reminder, proposals are due by 2:00 PM PST on 20 Aug 2018.

Question 1: In regards to the Titan Dormitory (Building 13135), we will be installing (1) new exterior camera however the specification calls for a 32 channel NVR. Due to the fact that it is only one (1) camera, would an 8-channel NVR be sufficient?

Response 1: The purpose of the 32 channel is for the possibility of future replacement of interior cameras, so please quote using the 32 channel.

Question 2: The equipment list calls for five (5) 750V Battery backups. Can you please clarify what this is? We are not familiar with a 750V battery.

Response 2: It is a back-up battery in case the building loses power. We want to be able to still have security surveillance in the case of a power outage.

Question 3: Will the enclosures inside the dayrooms required for this project need to house the monitors for use with the NVR systems, or are the monitors intended to be placed on the tables present in the dayrooms?

Response 3: The NVR systems will need to be enclosed. See attached amended Statement of Work for additional information.

Question 4: For the building on the corner of Nebraska and South Dakota avenues that is getting a new 180° camera that will be facing building 13135, is there accessible ceiling space inside the building to run the cables in, or will conduit need to be ran on the exterior of the building?

Response 4: It will be easier to run on the exterior.

Question 5: On page 2 of the SOW section 2.4 an attached diagram depicting camera coverage areas is mentioned, however none seems to be attached, will the Government be providing this diagram?

Response 5: The map is attached.
