About this file
This is a Performance Work Statement for the B500 JWing heat restoration project (NexGen Work Task #17900416) at Offutt AFB. The contractor is responsible for procuring, removing, and installing heating system equipment to restore heating capability to the JWing facility's multiple floors, which currently lacks heating due to age and previous flooding damage.
The primary deliverables include removing and disposing of the existing 25-gallon duplex condensate return station and replacing it with a new stainless steel unit of like capacity and fit in the same location on the east side of the JWing 1st floor mechanical room. The contractor must also remove and replace the existing U-tube steam heat exchanger (Taco S/N P4146, cat# B10206-SWA4, rated at 150 psi at 375F) with a new unit of identical configuration and capacity. Additional requirements include replacing steam traps (one ¾" float and thermostatic trap and one ¾" inverted bucket trap) and associated valves and equipment including isolation gate valves, check valves, relief valve, pressure gauges, and a strainer. The contractor must provide all electrical connections, piping with schedule 80 pipe on the condensate side, consumables such as o-rings and gaskets, insulation to industry standards, startup testing, and a one-year warranty on labor and materials. The contractor is responsible for Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures, cleanup and waste disposal in accordance with Offutt AFB Environmental Special Conditions, coordination with government representatives, and compliance with OSHA, AFI, ETL, NFPA, Unified Facility Criteria Standards, and ISO 9001 quality management requirements.
