QUESTION AND ANSWER FORM
Project Number: SXHT 16-1104
Project Description: Replace Generator Command Post, B423
Question (#1):
Other (Specify) E-601
Is the electrical contractor responsible for connecting this 150A CB to the load? If this is true, please provide more information.
Government Response (#1): The electrical contractor is responsible for connecting the 150 amp circuit breaker to the load. Drawing E-101 Flag Notes 7 and 8 instruct the contractor to install new 150 amp enclosed circuit breaker to provide secondary protection for command post transformer and to reconfigure existing command post ATS feeder conductors and conduit to refeed command post.
Question (#2):
RFP Section: E-601
Please provide the sequence of operation for the generator load bank process?
The location of the load bank connections, without interlocking, might cause power from the generator to flow to the ATS (E lugs) and through the 70A generator CB. The desired load bank testing sequence of operation should clarify. The load bank connection may require additional accessories depending on the sequence.
Government Response (#2): Location of load bank connection is correct. Load bank can be used to supplement facility load for generator testing. No additional accessories are required.
