STATEMENT OF WORK

PROJECT SXHT02-1002, Repair Fire Suppression System, Bldg 313

The work to be performed under this project is located at Patrick Air Force Base. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision to accomplish the following statement of work. All work shall be done in accordance with all local building codes, and the requirements contained in the J2 plans and specifications, dated June 2012.

Contractor work hours shall be 0730 to 1630, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Should it become necessary for work to be accomplished during weekends and holidays, the contractor is to provide written notification 72 hours prior to the desired days.

Scope: The work to be performed under this project consists of providing the labor, equipment and materials needed to convert the deluge fire suppression system to a wet pipe sprinkler system.

Civil: Provide water supply for sprinkler system including the fire line connection, backflow assembly location, and exterior fire department connection if required.

Fire Protection: In the high bay convert the existing deluge system into a wet pipe sprinkler system as shown on the drawings. Demolish existing deluge risers that are no longer required as indicated on the drawings. Demolish fire alarm connection including conduit, wire and pressure switches for deluge risers being removed. Connect new flow switches to the existing fire alarm control panel for deluge risers that are converted to wet pipe risers. System testing shall be per NFPA 13, NFPA 72 and UFC 3-600-01. Testing shall consist of contractor check out, preliminary test, and final acceptance testing for 100% of new devices and all system functions. Contractor shall provide a one year parts and labor warranty for the newly installed components.

Electrical: Provide power to new fire alarm equipment

All materials shall have the specifications approved prior to installation. If there is a question or concern about an item ask the project manager prior to initiating the work. Work shall be completed within 120 days after receipt of notice to proceed.
