Questions and Answers 26 August 2015 Edition #1
Question #1: Will there be a site visit for this requirement?
Answer #1: No, there will not be a site visit for this requirement. The logistics required to visit, operate, and inspect all barriers in a short period of time would cause unacceptable interruptions to base operations with no added benefit. The structure of the contract is such that the offeror will propose an hourly labor rate for repair labor, which will be used for the contractor to evaluate and repair each barrier and to allow for labor hours after initial repairs are completed. Quarterly PMI CLINs can be priced by a contractor without visiting the site as the number and type of barriers as well as the maintenance requirements for the specific barriers are known.
