QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Replace The Current Internet Protocol Closed Circuit Flight Line Video System (CCFV Or Here-In-After Referred To As “System”).

We need some clarification on some items for "Attachment 1".

They are as follows:

3.1 Relay Server. Does this mean a "Server Based" or a "Embedded Network Appliance" network video recorder are acceptable?

Both are technically acceptable, but an appliance system is preferred for compactness, low energy consumption, and swapability. The current camera system in place has two “servers” that mirror each other for redundancy. From that point, you can manually control the cameras, switch cameras, and bring up recordings. Based on our market research there would still be a central location, or “server”, installed in the Ops center communication room. The discussion has been brought up about users being able to log in remotely to that server to control the cameras and recordings from different workstations.

3.3 Burned for review. If an operator can manually burn video to a file folder, USB drive or other attached media, is that acceptable?

The files should be extractable to a portable media format. USB media storage devices are not permitted on USAF networks, so optical drives are preferred

3.4 The Contractor will troubleshoot the Central Control Station for CP at a location to be disclosed at the site walkthrough. Please explain what needs to be troubleshooted and what is CP?

The meaning of this line is the preponderance of support equipment will reside at the Command Post (CP)

3.7 The Contractor must troubleshoot the certified system that is using the existing JBA data network. Do you want the system on its own dedicated network or on the JBA network or a combination of both?

A combination of both. We would like to be able to pull up video feeds from the CCTV system on a computer attached to the NIPR network via a browser window.

3.9 System must be capable of interfacing with various access control systems, alarms and all approved alarm annunciation systems(see AF/XOS-F memorandum dated 17 Mar 06) using windows. Are input and output contact closure or TTL signals an acceptable interface and can you supply a copy or link to the AF/XOS-F for review?

I believe the proposed method is an industry standard and technically suitable. All required documentation will be available upon contract reward.

3.10

2. Starts with 2. Is there a 1. Or just an error?

6. Install nine (11) exterior PTZ cameras, nine (10) wall mounts. Should it read Install eleven (11) exterior PTZ cameras, ten wall mounts,?

E & F. Both state Hangar 3. Should E be Hangar 2 and F be Hangar 3?

D, E, F, G, H and I. State "network connectivity equipment". Is the JBA providing fiber optic cable connections in these areas?

Is the (I) PTZ within the warehouse in Bldg. 1900 an interior camera?

- There was a typo. It should start with “1”

- Mount verbiage was adjusted for clarification purposes

- Correction to “e” to read hander 2

- JBA has some existing fiber cable, but condition is unknown. Contractors should be prepared to provide/run fiber cable under the advisement of JBA Communication Squadron.

- Verbiage adjusted to explain warehouse bldg. 1900

3.11 Back Up Power for Control Stations. Are you asking for a 4 hour backup power for the Control Stations or do you want all NVR, Control Stations Cameras and all associated equipment on a 4 hour uninterrupted backup power?

Are the Control Station Software to be installed in the Operation Center, CAT Room and Bldg. 1900? There was mention of (4) additional client licenses. Does this mean you want (4) additional Control Station Software's in addition to the Operation Center, CAT Room and Bldg. 1900?

Thank you

- We are asking for 4 hour backup power on the entire system. If this is not feasible then Control Station and cameras a – c will suffice.

- Control system will be installed in Operation Center

- “(4) additional Control Stations” was meant to read the ability for 4 different users to log in to the control.

If this is not feasible due to network constraints then contractors should prepare to install Control System in the same location in the operations center that the current systems resides.

CORRECTION TO PWS :

Para 3.4 to state walkthrough to be conducted after contract has been awarded.
