About this file

This is a small procurement contract example document provided by the State of Maryland for the Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center's HVAC evaluation project. The contract seeks a qualified contractor to evaluate and provide expertise regarding the repair and/or replacement of multiple malfunctioning air conditioning units distributed throughout the facility. The hospital's current operations lack the capacity to service these units, necessitating immediate repairs for some systems and replacements for others. The document establishes a framework for procurement procedures, outlining standard contract formation requirements, performance expectations, and administrative protocols applicable to this type of facility maintenance engagement.

The contract example provides guidance on pricing structure, payment terms, and compliance documentation requirements for vendors responding to the HVAC services solicitation. The document specifies procedures for contractor qualifications, insurance requirements, and performance standards that bidders must meet to be considered for award. It establishes protocols for contract administration, including provisions for changes to the scope of work, invoicing procedures, and dispute resolution mechanisms. The document serves as a template to ensure standardized contracting practices across Maryland state and local procurement processes while protecting both the government entity and the contractor through clearly defined obligations and performance metrics.
