About this file

This is an exhibit document detailing preventive maintenance and repair services for Generac emergency generator models MDG 25IF4-20KW and RD030022JDAL-30KW, prepared for the County of Orange, California's OC Waste & Recycling department. The scope of work specifies three levels of service: PM Level A (monthly frequency), PM Level B (annual service with fuel sampling and fuel polishing), and additional services including starting battery replacement and load bank testing. PM Level A tasks include checking engine oil, coolant, fuel filter, tire pressure, electrical connections, battery condition, inspecting radiator fans, verifying engine starting conditions, replacing engine and fuel filters, cleaning water sediment elements, replacing air filter elements, lubricating leveling jacks, checking generator drive plate torque, and running the unit under load for up to 15 minutes when authorized. PM Level B expands on Level A services by adding replacement of fan and ALD drive belts, fuel system sampling and analysis, engine coolant sampling, fuel polishing to eliminate contaminants down to 10 microns, and removal of bottom water with bacterial and fungal treatment.

Starting battery replacement services include removal and replacement of engine cranking batteries with load voltage drop testing, disposal of old batteries, and test run verification. Load bank testing connects a resistive load bank to the generator for a 1.5-hour test duration at 100 percent of nameplate rating, with readings recorded every 15 minutes, followed by disconnection and return to original operation mode. All services require submission of reports to the customer with recommendations as necessary. The services are scheduled at monthly, annual, and tri-annual intervals as specified in the maintenance plan.
