About this file
This is a Schedule of Quantities and Prices document for Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) establishing the bid form for procurement of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) equipment and related components. The schedule requests three line items: ten units of Smart-UPS SRT 10KVA-RM with 208VAC/240VAC to 240VAC/120VAC conversion capability and standard warranty; forty-eight units of Smart-UPS SRT 192V battery packs compatible with 8 and 10KVA systems with standard warranty; and ten units of 240V/120V line surge protectors. Bidders must provide firm unit prices for each item, which will be multiplied by estimated quantities to calculate total prices; all prices must be inclusive of overhead, profit, applicable taxes, tariffs, insurance, and all subcontractor and supplier costs at all tiers.
The document specifies that estimated quantities are for bid evaluation purposes only and do not represent actual quantities required. LACMTA reserves the right to modify quantities through change orders. Bidders must submit complete pricing for all line items, and any blank unit or total prices may render the bid non-responsive unless calculable from provided information. The total bid price must include freight and California sales tax calculated at 9.75%. Any items with predetermined fixed dollar amounts established by LACMTA are binding on all bidders and cannot be revised unless LACMTA directs a change in services affecting that specific item.

EXHIBIT 2
SCHEDULE OF QUANTITIES AND PRICES INSTRUCTIONS
The Bidder shall submit its firm unit prices and lump sum prices for the Services set forth in the Bid and described in the IFB on the following form entitled SCHEDULE OF QUANTITIES AND
PRICES.
The estimated quantities shown on the SCHEDULE OF QUANTITIES AND PRICES are based on the best information available at the time the IFB was issued, and are used for the purpose of evaluating the Bids. LACMTA does not represent, expressly or by implication, that the actual quantities used in performing the Services will equal the estimated quantities.
In the case of items for which a fixed dollar amount predetermined by LACMTA has already been entered on the SCHEDULE OF QUANTITIES AND PRICES, the dollar amount so entered shall be binding on all Bidders as the price for such item; said dollar amount shall not be revised unless LACMTA directs a Change in the Services affecting the item to which said dollar amount relates.
Unit prices, lump sum prices, and other values must be entered in the appropriate spaces provided in the SCHEDULE OF QUANTITIES AND PRICES. Unit prices must be multiplied by the estimated quantity shown and the total inserted in the "Total Price" column. The "Total Prices" must be added together in arriving at the "Total Bid Price". The Total Bid Price shall be for the completion and acceptance of all Services listed in the SCHEDULE OF QUANTITIES AND PRICES as required by the Contract.
The unit prices and lump sum prices must conform to their respective requirements and parameters as specified in the Scope of Services. They also must be inclusive of all costs for the Services specified in other Contract Documents, including the proportional costs for overhead, profit, all applicable taxes, tariffs, insurance and other expenses of the Contractor, Subcontractors, and Suppliers of all tiers.
Should any unit price be left blank, the Bid will be considered non-responsive unless the blank item can be calculated from the information available (i.e., unit price can be determined by dividing the total price by the estimated quantity).
Should any total price be left blank, the Bid may be considered non-responsive unless the blank item can be calculated from the information available (i.e., total price can be determined by multiplying the unit price by the estimated quantity).
