Amendment No. 2 to RFQ No. DTOS59-15-Q-00040

This Amendment No. 2 answers a question posed concerning the existence of any incumbent contractor.

Question: I am hoping to find out if there is an incumbent contractor currently performing these services. If so, could I please find out the contractor name and contract number?

Alternate version of same Question: Does the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation under solicitation number DTOS5915Q00040 contain requirements similar to a current contract? If possible, please provide the current contract number. Or, is this a new requirement for the government?

Answer: A previous and somewhat-similar DOT contract, numbered DTOS59-10-C-00412, was awarded to Johnson Controls Security Systems, LLC on May 5, 2010, and it ended on September 30, 2014, and it had an aggregate cumulative total value of approximately $830,900.68. However, that previous contract was somewhat different from the project envisioned in this current RFQ No.

DTOS59-15-Q-00040, in that the previous contract had one full-time contractor-employee actually stationed at—and performing service and support at—DOT’s headquarters building. And no such contractor-employee will need to be stationed at DOT’s headquarters building in the performance of the contemplated new contract to be awarded from RFQ No. DTOS59-15-Q-00040, because DOT now has Federal employees who can perform that DOT-site service and support. There have been no other DOT contracts similar to the new one envisioned in this RFQ No. DTOS59-15-Q-00040.

This Amendment No. 2 makes no other changes to the RFQ.
