Project No. WA PFH WA 29‐1(5)
Project Middle Fork Snoqualmie River Road Slope Stabilization
# General Technical Question Answer Date
1 x Is the retainage on this project 10%?
If the Prime retains from their subcontractors then the Government will also withhold that amount from the progress estimate. After substantial completion of the contract, the CO may retain an amount adequate for the protection of the Government. This amount will be released with the final payment. FP 109.08(g). Otherwise there is zero set retainage on this project.

The last question and answer in this field report from Golder says the construction sequence for the draped rockfall protection is top down in lifts and that it needs to be in place prior to blasting. Looking at page 21 of the plans it looks like part of the system must go in after the blast. Should we plan to install the draped rockfall protection in stages? The upper part on the soil before the blast and the lower part after the blast and excavation?
The sequencing of construction is to be determined by the Contractor considering many factors including the stability of the slope during construction and the protection of work already installed. There is a requirement to provide an anchored mesh work plan SCR 651.04(2).
